Comparison
Software, an agency, or a spreadsheet.
Sponsorship gets done one of three ways: you hire an agency, you run it yourself on tools built for something else, or the deal runs on software made for it. We are the third. Here is the honest version of all three, including the parts where an agency wins.
Line by line
The same twelve questions, three answers.
| Β | WENOTIFT | A sponsorship agency | CRM and spreadsheet |
|---|---|---|---|
| What you are buying | Software the deal runs on, with a desk of people working the record. | A team and its relationships, for a retainer or a commission. | Nothing. Your own time, on tools built for something else. |
| Where the deal lives | One record per deal, with the desk between both sides. Reference, stage, documents, messages and commitments in one place. | The agency's inbox and its internal system. You see what is forwarded to you. | Split across a CRM, a shared drive, a spreadsheet and several inboxes. |
| How brands are found | Matched on who the audience is and which categories they buy from, with the reasoning attached so you can argue with it. | The people the agency already knows, which is genuinely valuable and genuinely finite. | A contact list, a conference, and whoever replied last year. |
| Who writes the deck | Generated from the record in English and Korean, reviewed by a person before it goes out. | The agency writes it, usually well, on its own schedule. | You do, again, at 1am. |
| Knowing where a deal stands | Five stages on the record, each with a note saying what is needed next and from whom. | Ask, and wait for the update call. | Whoever last touched the spreadsheet knows. |
| What the brand sees | Its own side of the deal, in Vella until signing and in Patron after, on one sign-in. Status, documents and updates, live. | A kickoff deck, a mid-campaign check-in and a wrap report. | Email. |
| Signing | The brand signs the letter in Vella by typing their name, and WENOTIFT countersigns. The signed copy stays on the deal. | Contract by email or a separate e-sign tool, filed somewhere else. | PDF, print, scan, hope. |
| Proof of delivery | Two stamps. WENOTIFT marks a row delivered, with proof; it counts only once the brand confirms it, and a confirmed row is locked. | Screenshots and a wrap deck assembled after the fact. | A folder of screenshots, if someone remembered. |
| The closing report | Built from the confirmed rows and nothing else β every line was already signed off by the brand. | Written by the party asking to be renewed. | Written by you, and read sceptically. |
| Running several deals | Every open request on one dashboard, each with its own stage and documents. | Scales by hiring more people, yours or theirs. | More tabs. |
| Who negotiates the money | A person from the desk. Nothing is agreed automatically and no money moves without a human. | A person from the agency. | You. |
| Markets | Deals run across the United States and APAC. The request form and the deck are English and Korean. | The markets that agency works in. | The markets you have contacts in. |
No company is named in this table on purpose. Agencies differ from each other more than they differ from us, and a comparison built to make one of them look bad would not be much use to you.
Being fair about it
When you should hire an agency instead.
You want someone to own it end to endAn agency will take the brief and come back with a result. WENOTIFT gives you the record and a desk that works it, but you stay in the deal. If you want to hand the whole thing over, hand it to an agency.
The relationship is the productSome categories move on a fifteen-year friendship with one marketing director. Software does not replace that, and we are not going to pretend it does.
You need execution on the groundBuild, staffing, hospitality, production. A record tracks what was promised and proves what was delivered; it does not hang the banner.
One deal, onceIf you do a single sponsorship every couple of years, the structure is worth less than the phone call. Come back when there are five running at once.
These are not mutually exclusive. Agencies run deals on WENOTIFT too β the record is where their client's deal lives, and the wrap report writes itself from stamps the brand already confirmed.
Try it against a real deal.
Tell us what you are working on and a person from the partnerships desk replies, not a form.
